Introduction
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is a motorcycle that combines style and substance. Produced by the famous Bolognese motorcycle manufacturer, this bike was recently tested and reviewed by Moto.it. According to the publication, the Multistrada V4 Rally is "the most beautiful Ducati ever produced in Bologna for travel." In this article, we will analyze the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally test on Moto.it, discovering how it performs on both the road and off-road, its technical features, and Claudio Domenicali's opinions. In addition, we will enrich the article with bulleted lists and highlighted text to improve its readability.
Technical features
- 30-liter aluminum tank
- 200 mm of travel suspension (+30 mm)
- In-motion deactivation of rear cylinders for reduced consumption
- Maximum power: 170 horsepower at 10,750 rpm
- Weight: 240 kg without fuel
- Price: starting at 27,640 euro
On the road
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is a travel queen, thanks to the perfect ergonomics for the rider and passenger, who finds a truly valid position. The weight is felt in maneuvering - we're at 260 kg with a full tank and bags - but in motion, the Rally immediately conquers you. The engine is regular at low revs, full from 4,000, an uncontrollable fury from 8,000 up to maximum power: 170 horsepower at 10,750 rpm! The rear cylinders are deactivated below 3,800 rpm from second to sixth gear, but it is imperceptible. The heat and consumption, on the other hand, decrease: 6.6 l/100 km is the declared consumption, but I managed to consume 6.2 during the test (which became 8.6 l/100 km off-road, my fault for playing too much with the low gears...).
Off-road
And off-road? Well, it's not an enduro bike and laying it down should be considered a mortal sin given how carefully it's built. But in Enduro mode, the power drops to 114 horsepower, the suspensions become soft, and then you can go wherever you like, thanks also to the ground clearance of 235 mm.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Exciting engine
- Equipment and comfort for rider and passenger
- Dynamic behavior
- High-quality suspension and brakes
Cons
- Improved consumption, but if you open the throttle...
- High price
Conclusions
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is a very successful motorcycle, as Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali says in the video above. "Of course," you might say, "it's a bike from his company." Very true, but look at how his eyes light up when he talks about it. Anyway, if you're in the market for a high-quality motorcycle that can handle any terrain, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally could be the right choice for you.
