Fruit of the genius of Engineer Erik Buell, it is an original, compact, very short bike. With a modern aluminum perimeter frame and with "futuristic" solutions: the fuel tank inside the beams, the oil tank in the swingarm, the front perimeter disc brake.
It was put on sale in the period from 2003 to 2010 with various customizations. The most popular bikes were: the XB9R Firebolt half-fairing; the naked XB9S Lightining; the XB9 SX model and the SX City.
It is powered by a 984 cc Harley-Davidson small block twin-cylinder engine, revised in the technical specifications to make it brighter and, in its own way, "sporty".
