Quality Mv Agusta products from Carboniomania
Meccanica Verghera Agusta, abbreviated as MV Agusta, is an Italian company that produced its own commercial and competition motorcycles from 1945 to 1977.
Born as an anonymous company in 1945, in 1952 it became a limited liability company and then in the same year it took on the definitive name of a joint-stock company. The brand was acquired in 1992 by Cagiva della Schiranna (a hamlet of Varese); in August 2008 it passed to the Harley Davidson group which in turn, in August 2010, sold it again to Claudio Castiglioni himself, former owner of the Cagiva brand.
Its name is particularly linked to motorcycling competitions: in those of the world championship it was awarded from 1952 to 1974 75 world titles (38 drivers and 37 manufacturers), which makes it the most successful European motorcycle manufacturer of all times, still unbeaten as far as regards the 500 class.
