Marc Márquez
Marc Márquez was born in Cervera on February 17, 1993, brother of Alex Marquez, also a motorcyclist, is the youngest driver to have won the world champion title in the premier class.
His passion for motors began at just four years, aboard minicross and minibikes.
He then moved on to road racing, taking second place in the Catalonian championship.
He made his debut in the 125 world championship at just fifteen, he ran 2008, getting a thirteenth place.
In 2009 he improved his performance by closing the season in eighth place with the Red Bull KTM Moto Sport team, a companion of cameron Baubier.
2010 represents the turning point, he moves on to the Derbi RSA 125 obtaining his first victories and the undisputed victory of the world with 310 points.

Galvanized by excellent results, he moved to Moto2.
In the Australian Grand Prix in Phillip Island he is penalized (with an extra minute to add to the time obtained in qualifying, effectively relegating him to the last position on the grid) due to a violent rear-end collision against Thai driver Ratthapark Wilairot, during the return session of the free practice session by now finished. However, he finishes in third position. In Japan he comes second after starting from pole position. This season he is forced to skip the Malaysian and Valencian Community Grand Prix due to pain and vision problems following a crash in the free practice of the Malaysian GP. Finish the season in 2nd place with 251 points.
In the 2012 season he remains in Moto2, always riding a Suter of the CatalunyaCaixa Repsol team, he wins the first race of the season in Qatar after starting in second position from the starting grid. He finishes second in Spain and first in Portugal, after starting in both GPs from pole position.
He also wins in the San Marino Grand Prix after starting from pole position. In Aragon comes second. He wins in Japan. He comes second in Australia graduating world champion for the second time. He also wins in Valencia after starting from the last position for a penalty, thus ending his good season in Moto2.
His talent is unquestionable, as young as he is strong and aggressive on the track, he is preparing to stun with his head held high in MotoGP.
In the first MotoGP race, on April 7, 2013, he obtained a third place in the Qatar Grand Prix. At the second round of the season, in the Grand Prix of the Americas, he detaches the pole position, becoming, at 20 years 2 months and 3 days, the youngest ever to start in front of everyone in the top class, canceling the precedent of Freddie Spencer (20 years , 5 months and 3 days), which had stood for 31 years.
With one success after another he approaches the conquest of the title, despite on the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, a circuit on which the drivers were obliged, in predetermined laps, to make a pit stop due to excessive tire wear, a error in deciphering the press release from the race direction by the Honda team meant that Márquez returned to the pits too late, when the possibility of replacing the motorbike had now disappeared. Márquez will be seen waving the black flag by the race commissioners, and abandoning the race without a change of points in the standings, compared to the previous race, after starting from second position on the grid.

He crowned his dream in Valencia, finishing third and winning the world championship as a rookie, a feat only managed by Kenny Roberts in '78.
In 2014 he imposed himself with even more vigor, winning the world with thirteen wins and three races in advance, despite two crashes (San Marino and Aragon) that led him to the finish in 15 'and 13' position.
In 2015 he came fifth in Qatar, after starting from third position. In Austin he gets pole position and wins the race. He gets pole position in Argentina, but does not end the race due to a collision with Rossi a few laps from the end. In Spain he comes second. He obtained pole position in France, finishing fourth at the finish. In Italy he starts thirteenth from the starting grid, but does not reach the finish line due to a fall during the fight for the second place 6 laps from the end. In Holland he comes second.
In Germany and Indianapolis he wins after starting from pole position. In the Czech Republic he comes second. He gets pole position in Britain, but falls on the wet. Wins in the San Marino Grand Prix. He gets pole position in Aragon, not ending the race because of a fall. He finished fourth in Japan, also won in Australia in Phillip Island. He was forced to retire in Malaysia due to a contact with Valentino Rossi, while in the final race in Valencia he came second behind the winner Jorge Lorenzo, albeit in some controversy. Closes the season in third place with 242 points.
In 2016, with the championship still underway, he confirmed himself as the champion for the third time at just 24 years of age, thanks to a monstrous advantage.
Without a doubt, one of the most genuine talents of the year two thousand.
Destined to be one of the strongest ever?
Only time will answer ..
