Kawasaki Z 800

Kawasaki Z 800, some impressions and descriptions of a truly "special" motorcycle

The kawasaki Z 800, the last sister of the "Z" line, had the difficult task of perpetrating the glorious dynasty that began with the success of the Z 750 and the powerful Z 1000.

The braking system consists of 310 mm "daisy" discs, the exhaust system is based on the use of curved, aggressive and well-made manifolds.

Being a naked, the design of the engine dominates the central section of the model, the rear tail gives the impression of weight leaning forward, accompanied by a compact windshield which attributes to the dark ferocity and hunger of asphalt.

Curious are the LEDs applied in the rear, as they generate two identical "Z", adding a touch of originality and customization to the vehicle.

The engine is liquid cooled with an efficient 4-valve DOHC cylinder head, and reaches a cubic capacity of 806 cm3 thanks to a bore that has gone from 68.4 to 71.0 mm and a stroke of 50.9 mm. The fuel injection system is managed by a high precision control unit and uses nebulizing injectors and throttle bodies with a larger diameter - 34 mm against 32.

The six-speed gearbox is characterized by the use of a larger crown, thanks to which, in the final ratios, the bike enjoys great acceleration.

The Kawasaki Z 800 benefits from a large chassis, easy handling, giving the pilot great stability and safety, essential characteristics for a pleasant ride.

It is possible to exercise excellent control over the bike, it responds instantly making it substantially easy to use.
